Stamp this Chrysanthemum design, also scalloped edge, on a fine quality of linen. The size is 17 x 25 inches. The edge is buttonholed with white floss, or colored, if preferred. The sprays of yellow flowers are worked in solid Kensington. These colors include the entire range of yellow - from pale canary yellow to deep orange. Of course only a part of these shades need be used, if desired. The leaves are embroidered with four very close shades of green.
MATERIALS - Linen, 17 x 25 inches; approximately: 1 dozen skeins of yellow floss; 6 skeins of green; 1 dozen skeins of Twisted Embroidery Silk for edge.
For more embroidered centerpiece or doily designs see the following pages. These were especially adapted to tray or centerpieces but the difference between a centerpiece and doily is so unclear that the purpose of the embroidered piece is simply a matter of choice.
