Well, Fall is almost upon us. I have spent most of my summer either outside with my new hobby - herbs or with my family. I've added a number of new items to the site since my last email. Here are just a few articles that have been added recently:
New Stitches that have been added.
- Embroidery on Chip - This was the Victorian answer to hot pads and table coasters for protecting tables. Find out more here - Embroidery on Chip.
Etching embroidery - also known as Print Work, was used to reproduce line engravings with embroidery and paint. Learn more about this fascinating embroidery technique here.
New Crafts that have been added.
- Au Passe Stitch - The Au Passe Stitch is a flat Satin Stitch, worked across the material, with no raised foundation. Learn more about this stitch here:
Au Passe Stitch.
- Battlemented Stitch - also known as the Battlement Stitch, is often used in decorative embroidery for castle tops, etc. It is a great little stitch to know. See how easy it is to do!
That's it for now. I hope you find something of interest to you.
